Who we are

What we collect
When you use our quote form we collect the details you choose to give: your name, postcode, phone number and/or email address, the service you need, your description of the job and any photos you attach. Like most websites, our hosting provider also processes basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Why we use it
We use your enquiry details to pass your request to an independent tree surgeon who covers your area, so they can contact you about a quote, and to deal with any follow-up questions you send us. The lawful basis is your consent (which you give by ticking the box on the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Who we share it with
- Partner tree surgeons: your enquiry is shared with the independent tree surgeon(s) we introduce you to. They become responsible for your data once they contact you.
- Service providers: our website is hosted on Cloudflare, form security checks may use Cloudflare Turnstile, and enquiry emails are delivered via an email service provider (Resend). These providers process data on our behalf.
We don’t sell your data or add you to marketing lists.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for up to 12 months so we can handle follow-up questions, then delete them, unless we need to keep them longer to resolve a complaint.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. The security check on our form (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use strictly necessary technical data to tell humans from bots.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@chelmsfordtreesurgeon.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
